  1. Criminal Mischief, October 16-17, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s damaged the rear windshield wiper assembly to a vehicle as it sat parked overnight. Total loss: $250.00.
  2. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 16-17, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole a purse and contents. It is unknown if the vehicle was locked or not. Total loss: $44.50.
  3. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 16-17, 2017 700 block Wyncroft Terrace (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole a flashlight, a knife, and assorted change. Total loss: $75.00.

October 13, 2017:

  1. Access Device Fraud, 4:00-11:59 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2017, 100 block Turnbridge Drive (LT) – A citizen’s debit card was stolen and then used fraudulently. Total loss: $1,091.50.

October 15, 2017:

  1. Criminal Mischief, 4:15 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s threw a pumpkin at a window causing it to break.  Total loss: $100.00.
  2. Theft From Motor Vehicle, September 8-16, 2017, Willis Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked and stole $10 in cash, $80 in jewelry, and two firearms.  Total loss: $641.00.

October 16, 2017:

  1. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 14-15, 2017, Michelle Drive (LT) – An unlocked vehicle was entered as it sat parked overnight and a Sirius/XM satellite radio was stolen.  Total loss: $35.00.

Police Log-October 11 & 12, 2017

October 11:

  1. Theft From Motor Vehicle, 6:39 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 1000 block East Orange Street (LT) – An unknown black male was seen entering an unlocked vehicle which sat parked at this location.  The male stole a clarinet, GPS unit, and the vehicle’s owner’s manual.  The items were later discarded a short distance away and returned to the victim.  Total loss: $610.00.
  2. Theft By Deception, September 20-October 3, 2017, 200 block Perthshire Drive (LT) – A resident of this location fell victim for a scam after talking to an unknown person they met on match.com.  The victim sent $19,045.22 in cash and two (2) cell phones valued at $1,519.00.  The victim was told the person needed the money for the building of a business and was promised to be repaid.  The transactions were sent to the countries of Turkey and South Africa.
  3. Retail Theft, 11:13 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 1360 Columbia Avenue – Giant (LT) – An unknown Hispanic male left the store with a shopping cart full of shrimp valued at $265.94.  Store employees attempted to stop the male and he fled without the merchandise.  Investigation continues.

October 12:

  1. Hit & Run Crash, 3:20 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, Columbia Avenue at Abbeyville Road (LT) – A black Nissan Versa struck another vehicle and fled the scene.  No injuries reported.  Investigation continues.
  2. Theft, October 10-11, 2017, 1300 block Belle Valley Road (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a wind chime and small water fountain from the front yard of a residence.  Total loss: $40.00.

  1. Theft From Motor Vehicle, 8:00-8:30 p.m., Wednesday, October 4, 2017, 700 block Sterling Place (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked and removed a wallet and contents from the center console.  Total loss: $30.00.
  2. Criminal Mischief, 3:12-3:31 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2017, 1319 Millersville Pike – Planet Fitness (LT) – Unknown person/s cut one of the curtains in the men’s shower of the gym.  Total loss: $15.00.

  1. Theft, September 22-29, 2017, 100 block Greenwood Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a registration plate from a vehicle as it sat parked overnight.  Total loss: $11.00.
  2. Theft By Deception, 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 29, 2017, 900 block South Prince Street (LT) – A resident gave an unknown individual $1,500.00 in eBay gift cards over the phone in exchange for a Harley Davidson motorcycle that was supposedly going to be shipped to him.  The victim never received the motorcycle and hasn’t been able to make contact with the seller.  Investigation continues.
