Police Log-March 3, 6, & 7, 2017

March 3:

  1. Retail Theft, 8:22 p.m. February 28, 2017, 1234 Millersville Pike (LT) – A criminal complaint for Retail Theft has been filed against Todd J. Wagner M/55 of Columbia Ave, Lancaster. At 8:22 p.m. Feb 28, 2017, Wagner was observed concealing a bottle of liquor at the Wine and Spirits Store, 1234 Millersville Pike, and leaving without paying. A photo of the suspect was released through social media, which led to his identification.

March 6:

  1. Theft by Deception (LT) – A criminal complaint for Theft by Deception has been filed against Ronald J. McComsey M/77 of Springbrook Court, Lancaster. McComsey was a trustee for a trust fund that benefitted a family member. Between 2006 and 2012, McComsey withdrew a total of $128,666 from the trust fund and used the money for personal gain.
  2. Retail Theft, 6:01 p.m. March 5, 2017, 1256 Millersville Pike (LT) – A teenager was observed taking a cassette adapter from Radio Shack, 1256 Millersville Pike, at 6:01 p.m. Mar 5, 2017. Loss $24.
  3. Hit and Run, 7:49 p.m. March 3, 2017, Columbia Avenue (LT) – Franklin Johonoson M/58 of Albright Avenue, York, has been charged following a crash that occurred at 7:49 p.m. March 3, 2017, on Columbia Ave near Jackson Drive. Johonoson struck the rear of a vehicle that was stopped at a red light, and then drove away but became disabled nearby. He has been charged with Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle, DUI, Restrictions on Alcoholic Beverages, and a traffic violation.
  4. Theft, March 2, 2017, 1319 Millersville Pike (LT) – A phone and keys were taken from an unlocked locker at Planet Fitness, 1319 Millersville Pike, sometime around 12:15 p.m. March 2, 2017. Loss $385. At approximately the same time, a wallet was taken from another unsecured locker, and a debit card from the wallet was used at nearby stores. Loss $300.
  5. Retail Theft, 8:33 p.m. March 2, 2017, 1234 Millersville Pike (LT) – A male was observed leaving the Wine and Spirits store, 1234 Millersville Pike, without paying for a bottle of liquor valued at $76. Occurred at 8:33 p.m. March 2, 2017.
  6. Possession of Marijuana (LT) – A criminal complaint has been filed against Gregory S. Flory M/50 of Prospect Street, Lancaster. On February 23, 2017, Flory was stopped for traveling 42 mph in a 25-mph zone on Bean Hill Road. During the stop, the officer smelled marijuana and found marijuana in Flory’s possession. He has been charged with Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Speeding.

March 7:

  1. Simple Assault, 8:00 a.m. February 26, 2017, 1500 Block Wabank Road (LT) – A criminal complaint for Simple Assault and Stalking has been filed against Rashin T. Raison M/35 of New Holland Ave, Lancaster, following a domestic altercation with his wife which occurred at their residence at 8:00 a.m. Feb 26, 2017.

Police Log-March 2, 2017

  1. Hit and Run, 4:22 p.m. February 25, 2017, Buchanan Avenue (LT) – A criminal complaint for Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle has been filed against Anthony J. Alicea M/25 of Highland Avenue, Lancaster. On February 25, 2017, his vehicle struck another vehicle at the intersection of Buchanan Ave and North President Avenue. Alicea failed to stop, and was followed by a witness who contacted police. Alicea has been charged with Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle and Driving Without a License.

  1. Retail Theft, 8:22 p.m. February 28, 2017, 1234 Millersville Pike (LT) – A male was observed concealing a bottle of liquor at the Wine and Spirits Store, 1234 Millersville Pike, and then leaving without paying. Police Log-February 28, 2017

  1. Theft, Conestoga Blvd (LT) – A chainsaw and blower were taken from an unlocked shed in the first block of Conestoga Blvd sometime between Feb 23 and 26, 2017. Loss $900.
  2. Theft from Vehicle, 700 Block Fairview Avenue (LT) – Two work trucks parked in the 700 Blk of Fairview Ave were entered and numerous tools and communications equipment were taken. One of the vehicles was damaged from forced entry. Loss $10,000. Occurred sometime between Feb 24 and 27, 2017.
  3. Theft from Vehicle, 1000 Block Grofftown Road (LT) – A window was smashed to gain entry to a work truck parked in the 1000 Blk of Grofftown Road. Tools were taken; loss $1,255. Occurred sometime between Feb 25 and 27, 2017.

Police Log-February 24 & 27, 2017

February 24th:

Retail Theft, 5:46 p.m. February 23, 2017, 1360 Columbia Avenue (LT) – Luis F. Gutierrez-Burgos M/34 of New Dorwart Street, Lancaster, was arrested for Retail Theft at Giant, 1360 Columbia Ave. At 5:46 p.m. Feb 23, 2017, Gutierrez-Burgos was observed concealing six bags of shrimp valued at $143, and leaving without paying. He was turned over to Central Booking.

Selective Enforcement Detail, February 23, 2017, 600 Block Bean Hill Road (LT) – Eight motorists were charged with speeding as the result of the selective enforcement detail in the 600 Blk of Bean Hill Road on February 23, 2017. Marijuana was found in the vehicle of one of the motorists; charges are pending. The highest speed was 50 mph in the 25-mph zone.

February 27th:

Criminal Mischief, 700 Block Fairview Avenue (LT) – A window was broken on a cargo van parked in the 700 Blk of Fairview Ave. Occurred sometime during the day on Feb 26, 2017.

Drug Charges, 9:37 p.m. February 24, 2017, Fairview Avenue (LT) – Jose M. Lopez M/27 of Concord Lane, Columbia, was arrested during a traffic stop on Fairview Ave near South Prince Street at 9:37 p.m. Feb 24, 2017. During the stop, officers found marijuana, cocaine, oxycodone, and ecstasy in the vehicle. Lopez, a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Ecstasy, Possession of Cocaine, and Possession of Oxycodone. He was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. A criminal complaint for Possession of Marijuana has been filed against the driver of the vehicle, Miguel A. Ortiz M/27 of Worcester, MA.

Public Drunkenness, 9:33 a.m. February 25, 2017, 200 Block Waterford Ct (LT) – Tekilya S. Wilson F/40 of Waterford Court, Lancaster, has been cited with Public Drunkenness after she was found under the influence of a controlled substance outside of her residence at 9:33 a.m. Feb 25, 2017.

Theft from Vehicle (LT) – Criminal complaints have been filed against John T. James Jr M/18 of South 4th Street, Harrisburg, and a 16-year-old Lancaster male. At 7:51 a.m. February 20, 2017, officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of South School Lane for a report that two males were trying to get into vehicles. Arriving officers located the two and identified them, and later found that items had been stolen from three vehicles in the area. They were subsequently charged with three counts each of Theft from Vehicles. James was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief as the result of damage that was done to the console of one of the vehicles. The thefts occurred in the 300 Blk of South School Lane, the 300 Blk of Atkins Avenue, and in the parking lot of Giant, 1360 Columbia Ave.
