Police Log-October 26, 2017

  1. Warrant Arrest, 1:54 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017, 1700 block Wabank Road (LT) – Gerald Raymond Walts, M/46, of Lancaster, PA was arrested on an outstanding warrant following a traffic stop. He was turned over to the Lancaster County Sheriff.
  2. Warrant Arrests, 11:53 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 1500 block Passey Lane (LT) – Monica Lynn Alequine, F/26, and Lionel D. Dyches, M/34, both of Lancaster, PA, were arrested on outstanding warrants following a domestic dispute at their residence. Both were turned over to the Lancaster County Sheriff.
  3. Retail Theft Arrests, 3:29 p.m., Friday, September 8, 2017, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – Clinton Lane Young III, M/26, of Christiana, PA, and Francisca Elizabeth Ramos, F/28, of Gap, PA were both charged with the above offense after they were observed stealing $443.00 worth of electronics from the store. Two criminal complaints were filed.
  4. Harassment Arrest, 12:58 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017, 1400 block Passey Lane (LT) – Jeffery T. Toney, M/31, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at his residence. During the altercation, he punched the victim in the mouth. A citation was filed.
  5. Retail Theft, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017, 1360 Columbia Avenue – Giant (LT) – Jessica T. Perez-Hopkins, F/38, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after she was observed stealing $46.46 worth of merchandise from the store. A citation was filed.
  6. Theft, October 3-19, 2017, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – Mark A. Hinton, M/30, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following an investigation into employee theft at the store. Hinton, an employee, was observed stealing cash from the register during two (2) instances over a sixteen (16) day time period. A criminal complaint was filed.
  7. Theft, October 23-25, 2017, Grandview Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a wheel and tire from a Trek bicycle as it sat parked at a residence at this location.  Total loss: $200.00.
  8. Theft, October 24-25, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a baby blue Schwinn Traveler road bike as it sat parked at a residence at this location.  Total loss: $80.00.
  9. Vehicle Theft, October 24-25, 2017, 800 block Sterling Place (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a 1996 Honda Civic as it sat parked overnight.  Total loss: $300.00.  The vehicle was later recovered nearby with parts missing from it.  Investigation continues.
  10. Theft From Motor Vehicle, 2:00-7:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 100 block Kentshire Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a vehicle that sat parked in the area and stole power tools.  Total loss: $1,654.45.  It is unknown how entry was made into the vehicle.

10/20/2017:

  1. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 18-19, 2017, 1000 block Grofftown Road (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole a wallet and contents. Total loss: $170.00.
  2. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 18-19, 2017, 200 block Eliot Street (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole $1,010.00 worth of property to include a wallet, sunglasses, and a wristwatch.
  3. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 18-19, 2017, 1000 block Wheatland Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole a GPS and sunglasses. The rear window of the vehicle was accidentally left ajar. Total loss: $350.00.

10/22/2017:

  1. Theft, October 2-3, 2017, 100 block Jennings Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a bicycle that was left unattended at this location. Total loss: $200.00.
  2. Theft, October 20-21, 2017, 100 block Jennings Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a bicycle that was left unattended at this location. Total loss: $200.00.
  3. Vehicle Theft, October 20-21, 2017, 1600 block Judie Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a 1998 Honda Civic as it sat parked overnight at this location. Total loss: $1,000.00.

10/23/2017:

  1. Criminal Mischief, 7:55 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017, Michelle Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s threw a rock at a sliding glass door causing $200.00 in damage.
  2. Criminal Mischief, 8:07 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017, 200 block Eliot Street (LT) – Unknown person/s broke a solar-powered lantern in the front yard of residence.  Total loss: $10.00.
  3. Scattering Rubbish (Littering), October 20-22, 2017, 851 Highland Avenue – Greenwood Cemetery (LT) – Unknown person/s dumped a large amount of construction materials, appliances, and household items at the cemetery.  Investigation continues.

10/24/2017:

  1. Theft, 7:30-7:50 p.m., Monday, October 23, 2017, 100 block Dickens Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a blue Schwinn girls’ mountain bicycle from a residence.  Total loss: $100.00.
  2. Theft, October 20-21, 2017, Roselawn Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a futon style bunk bed frame from outside a residence.  The same person/s also damaged a PODS container sitting in the driveway.  Total loss: $600.00.
  3. Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 20, 2017, 1246 Millersville Pike – Regal Cinemas (LT) – A citizen accidentally left her purse behind inside the movie theater and left. She returned after realizing her mistake and found that the purse was gone. Total loss: $36.00.

  1. Criminal Mischief, October 16-17, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s damaged the rear windshield wiper assembly to a vehicle as it sat parked overnight. Total loss: $250.00.
  2. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 16-17, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole a purse and contents. It is unknown if the vehicle was locked or not. Total loss: $44.50.
  3. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 16-17, 2017 700 block Wyncroft Terrace (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a vehicle as it sat parked overnight and stole a flashlight, a knife, and assorted change. Total loss: $75.00.

  1. Access Device Fraud, 4:00-11:59 p.m., Friday, October 6, 2017, 100 block Turnbridge Drive (LT) – A citizen’s debit card was stolen and then used fraudulently. Total loss: $1,091.50.

October 15, 2017:

  1. Criminal Mischief, 4:15 p.m., Saturday, October 14, 2017, 600 block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s threw a pumpkin at a window causing it to break.  Total loss: $100.00.
  2. Theft From Motor Vehicle, September 8-16, 2017, Willis Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle as it sat parked and stole $10 in cash, $80 in jewelry, and two firearms.  Total loss: $641.00.

October 16, 2017:

  1. Theft From Motor Vehicle, October 14-15, 2017, Michelle Drive (LT) – An unlocked vehicle was entered as it sat parked overnight and a Sirius/XM satellite radio was stolen.  Total loss: $35.00.

Police Log-October 11 & 12, 2017

October 11:

  1. Theft From Motor Vehicle, 6:39 p.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 1000 block East Orange Street (LT) – An unknown black male was seen entering an unlocked vehicle which sat parked at this location.  The male stole a clarinet, GPS unit, and the vehicle’s owner’s manual.  The items were later discarded a short distance away and returned to the victim.  Total loss: $610.00.
  2. Theft By Deception, September 20-October 3, 2017, 200 block Perthshire Drive (LT) – A resident of this location fell victim for a scam after talking to an unknown person they met on match.com.  The victim sent $19,045.22 in cash and two (2) cell phones valued at $1,519.00.  The victim was told the person needed the money for the building of a business and was promised to be repaid.  The transactions were sent to the countries of Turkey and South Africa.
  3. Retail Theft, 11:13 a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2017, 1360 Columbia Avenue – Giant (LT) – An unknown Hispanic male left the store with a shopping cart full of shrimp valued at $265.94.  Store employees attempted to stop the male and he fled without the merchandise.  Investigation continues.

October 12:

  1. Hit & Run Crash, 3:20 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, 2017, Columbia Avenue at Abbeyville Road (LT) – A black Nissan Versa struck another vehicle and fled the scene.  No injuries reported.  Investigation continues.
  2. Theft, October 10-11, 2017, 1300 block Belle Valley Road (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a wind chime and small water fountain from the front yard of a residence.  Total loss: $40.00.
