This website ( https://lancaster.crimewatchpa.com/manheimtwppd/ ) gives people who use social networks and mobile devices an easier, more effective way to help fight crime and stay informed. Local residents are strongly encouraged to visit the website, or download CRIMEWATCH Mobile from the Apple or Android App Stores. 

This resource allows residents to do the following:

  • Sign up for a free account to receive e-mail alerts regarding crime committed in certain areas,
  • Submit a tip to local law enforcement,
  • View recent arrests and “most wanted” lists,
  • File a Right-To-Know request,
  • Share information with others through social media, and
  • Get connected with resources and services.

Police Log-January 28 & 29, 2018

January 28:

  1. Vehicle Theft, January 26, 2018, 600 Block Wyncroft Lane (LT) – A silver 2014 Chevrolet Cruze was taken from the 600 Block Wyncroft Lane sometime during the day on January 26, 2018.

January 29:

  1. Theft, 2:25 p.m. January 28, 2018, 200 Block Kentshire Drive (LT) – A Lancaster man who advertised a phone for sale on a social media site went to the 200 Blk of Kentshire Drive to meet the potential buyer. The “buyer” stated that he wanted to show the phone to a friend before buying it, and walked towards a house, but never came back. Loss $150.

Police Log-January 23, 2018

  1. Vehicle Theft, 7:47 a.m. January 22, 2018, 900 Block East Orange Street (LT) – At 7:47 a.m. January 22, 2018, two males were observed getting into a parked vehicle which had been left parked but running in the 900 Blk of East Orange Street. When they attempted to pull from the space, they backed into the vehicle behind them and then pulled forward into the vehicle in front, damaging both. The two then fled on foot. The investigation is continuing.

 

Police Log-January 22, 2018

  1. Thefts from Vehicle (MT, LT) – A male was captured on a home surveillance system attempting to enter a vehicle on Newton Road at 10:28 p.m. January 19, 2018. Four other residents in the area reported that their vehicles had been entered overnight January 19-20, 2018. Other streets were Clayton Road, North President Avenue, and North School Lane. Electronics and cash were taken. Total loss $582. There was no forced entry.
  2. Criminal Trespass, 4:45 a.m. January 21, 2018, 1700 Block Judie Lane (LT) – A male was observed trying to enter a vacant apartment in the 1700 Block of Judie Lane through an open window. The male and another person fled when confronted by a neighbor.
  3. Theft from Vehicle, 1200 Block Ranck Mill Road (LT) – Jewelry was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1200 Blk of Ranck Mill Road sometime between January 17 and 19, 2018. Loss $600.

Police Log-January 19, 2018

  1. Theft of Services, 11:20 p.m., Thursday, January 18, 2018, 1500 block Passey Lane (LT) – Unpaid cab fare.  Total loss: $11.51.
  2. Theft From Motor Vehicle, January 17-18, 2018, 1200 block Wheatland Avenue (LT) – Unlocked vehicle.  Total loss: $500.00.
