Police Log-January 2 & 3, 2018

January 2:

  1. Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts / Accessories, December 28, 2017, Salvatore Court (LT) Unknown person/s stole the grille from the front of a vehicle which sat parked overnight.  Total loss: $100.00.
  2. Vehicle Theft, December 27-28, 2017, 500 block Kensington Road (LT) – A vehicle left unlocked with the keys inside the ignition was stolen from this location.  The vehicle was found crashed and unoccupied in Lancaster City before the victim knew of the theft.  Investigation continues.

January 3:

  1. Theft, Tuesday, November 21, 2017, 1000 block Wheatland Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a package that had been delivered to the address.  Total loss: $486.10.

Police Log-December 24, 2017

  1. Criminal Mischief, 6:20 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, 600 block South West End Avenue (LT) – Unknown juveniles jumped on the hood of a parked car and caused $500.00 in damage. 
  2. Criminal Trespass, 10:03 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2017, North Broad Street (LT) – An unknown person/s broke a rear window of a residence to gain entry.  Nothing taken or damaged inside.  Investigation continues.
  3. Theft of Lost, Mislaid Property, 11:30 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – A customer accidentally left her purse in her shopping cart.  When she discovered it missing and returned to the store, she learned that it had been turned into the customer service desk, however, money had been stolen from within it.  Total loss: $200.00.
  4. Theft, 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 22, 2017, 1200 block Elm Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a package from a porch that had been delivered by the United States Postal Service.  Total loss: $43.96.

Police Log-December 22, 2017

  1. Burglary / Theft / Criminal Trespass / Criminal Mischief Arrest (LT) – Terrence Raymond Henderson was charged with the above offenses following two (2) break-in investigations in Lancaster Township. At 10:06 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017, Henderson entered the Burrowes Elementary School at 1001 East Orange Street and stole $11,180.00 worth of electronics. At 10:50 a.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017, the property manager for an abandoned property reported trespassing to police.  Evidence left behind indicated that Henderson had been inside the residence, which also linked him to the school incident.  Through the course of a detective’s investigation, he was determined to be the person who committed both offenses.  Warrants for the above offenses have been obtained for his arrest and he remains a wanted person.  Any person knowing Henderson’s whereabouts should call the Manheim Township Police at 717-569-6401 or use our anonymous tip line at 717-569-2816.
  2. Burglary, 7:39 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, 1100 block East Orange Street (LT) – Unknown person/s kicked in the front door of a residence and rummaged through the property.  No items taken.  Investigation continues.
  3. Theft, 10:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Thursday, December 21, 2017, North Broad Street (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a cast iron fence post from the front yard of a residence.  Total loss: $300.00.

Police Log-December 21, 2017

  1. Retail Theft, 2:18 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017, 1360 Columbia Avenue – Giant Food Store (LT) – A female entered the store and stole $223.38 worth of merchandise.  A suspect has been developed and the investigation is ongoing.
  2. Theft From Motor Vehicle, December 19-20, 2017, 1300 block Wabank Road (LT) – Unknown person/s forced entry into metal storage boxes mounted onto a vehicle and stole power tools. Total loss: $325.00.

Police Log-December 19 & 20, 2017

December 19:

  1. Theft, December 17-18, 2017, 1100 block Elm Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s stole hubcaps from a vehicle that sat parked overnight.  Total loss: $200.00.
  2. Theft, December 10-18, 2017, 1300 block Meadowbrook Road (LT) – Unknown person/s stole ninety-three (93) pieces of sterling silver flatware from a residence. Total loss: $16,225.00.

December 20:

  • Robbery, 11:30 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017 to 12:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017, 200 block Waterford Court (LT) – Three (3) males in a vehicle approached a male victim as he was walking home. The male suspects brandished a shotgun and pistol. The male victim was then beaten and robbed of $900.00.  The suspects were described by the victim as follows:
  1. Suspect 1 – Light skinned Hispanic male, between 17-20 years old, slim mustache, believed to be wearing a black or blue hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, displayed a shotgun with camouflage pattern upon it.
  2. Suspect 2 – Black male, between 17-20 years old, tall and chubby, believed to be wearing grey hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants, displayed a handgun.
  3. Suspect 3 – Male, between 17-20 years old, short and smaller in stature.
