The Township receives thousands of calls from residents each year asking for assistance and information. To better serve our residents, we have listed the names and responsibilities of each of the Township’s employees. In addition, we have identified those issues and topics which residents call the Township Office about most often, along with the staff person who is best qualified to address them.
Many of the calls deal with roadway maintenance issues. Those calls can be best handled by our road crew, which works out of our maintenance facility on Meadowcreek Lane. Residents are encouraged to call the facility (717-293-1733) and address their questions and issues directly with our roadway crew. Due to the nature of their work, there are times when all road crew members will be out of the office. If this is the case, just leave a message and the road crew will return your call or contact the Township Office to speak to someone.

William M. Laudien, Township Manager- Ext. 302
The township manager handles the daily activities of the township, responds to resident concerns, works with the board of supervisors, and administers the township regional comprehensive plan.
Responsible for the review and approval of building permit applications; enforcement of building construction and maintenance codes in the township; issues township zoning permits; handles all township ordinance/zoning complaints; assists the township manager, and oversees the publication of the Lancaster Township Newsletter.
Supports the Planning and Zoning office by coordinating communications with the Planning Commission and the Zoning Hearing Board and processing township zoning complaints.
Diana R. Hess, Finance Officer – Ext. 306
The Finance Officer manages the township’s finances.
Faith S. Kelsey, Receptionist – Ext. 300
The receptionist is one’s first contact with the office. She handles all incoming calls, greets residents when they come in, processes parking fines, and accepts all payments. Faith also oversees all Maple Grove Community Building rentals.
Joanne Yost , Office Assistant – Ext. 301
Recycling coordinator for the township refuse and recycling program and provides support to the Finance Department.

As Road Superintendent, Michael coordinates all work for roadways, parks, and township building maintenance, and manages the highway department including personnel, the fleet of vehicles, and equipment.
As a member of the road crew, Shawn is responsible for maintaining and improving township roadways, parks, and buildings.
As Road Assistant Superintendent, Rob helps the Superintendent coordinate all work for roadways, parks, and township building maintenance, and manages the highway department including personnel, the fleet of vehicles, and equipment.
As Road Foreman, Earl is responsible for scheduling road improvement projects and supervising the road crew personnel.
As a member of the road crew, Tom operates maintenance equipment and assists with the maintenance and improvement of township roadways, parks, and buildings.
