Lancaster Township Community Day (June 3rd) is combined with the LCFA convention/parade this year. Community day will start at 10am, with parade fire apparatus arriving at 11:30am at the parade staging area to showcase the county fire apparatus. Events will include a vehicle extrication demonstration, an opportunity to handle a hose line, police demonstrations, and fire truck rides. Community and emergency service groups will also be on display. Food will available.
The location of community day, the parade staging area, and the parade route will be publicized once plans are finalized. Tentative plans are for the parade to begin in the area of Columbia Avenue and travel to Lancaster Township Park on Millersville Pike. The parade will kick off at 2pm, rain or shine.
