Kathy Wasong, Chair, Kathy Wasong was elected to her first six-year term beginning January 2006. A 2000 graduate of Leadership Lancaster, she has been involved with community activities for many years. Her most recent participation has been with the Lancaster Book Challenge Steering Committee, Lancaster Foundation for Educational Enrichment (Board member), and the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding Citizen Advisory Board. Kathy is a freelance book editor and indexer and has been a township resident since 1987. She and her husband, Tony, are the parents of an adult son.

Tom Schaller, treasurer, began his second term as a supervisor in 2008. Tom has been a volunteer with the Lancaster Township Fire Department for 44 years. He currently serves as assistant chief, but he has also held the positions of chief and deputy chief. He has served on the Township’s Building Code Board of Appeals, the Y2K Committee, and as chair of the Vacancy Board. Tom was born in Bausman and is a life-long resident of Lancaster Township. Tom and Dorothy, his wife of 42 years, have four children and eight grandchildren.

The Lancaster Township Board of Supervisors meeting is held on the Second (2nd) Monday of every month at the Township office located at 1240 Maple Avenue. Meetings begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend the workshop, which begins at 6:00 p.m.

Lancaster Township Board of Supervisors are elected officials who serve six (6) year terms.
