Lancaster Township Board of Supervisors are elected officials who serve a term of six (6) years.

Thomas H. Schaller
TERM ENDING:  12/31/2019
Tom began his third term as a supervisor in 2014. Tom has been a volunteer with the Lancaster Township Fire Department for more than 50 years, and has held the positions of chief , assistant chief, and deputy chief. He has served on the township's Building Code Board of Appeals, the Y2K Committee, and as chair of the Vacancy Board. Tom was born in Bausman and is a life-long resident of Lancaster Township. Tom and Dorothy, his wife of 50 years, have four children and nine grandchildren.
Steven P. Elliott
TERM ENDING:  12/31/2023
Steve was elected in November 2017 as the newest board supervisor for Lancaster Township. He earned his degree in Turf Grass Management from the UMASS Stockbridge School of Agriculture. Steve is a member of the Board of Directors of the Lancaster Aquatic Club and a Democratic committeeman in Lancaster Township. He is a former member of the Manheim Township Parks and Recreation Board, and a CYAA soccer coach. Steve and his wife Denise live in Lancaster Township with their two daughters, and are members of the St. John Neumann Catholic Church.
Benjamin H. Bamford
TERM ENDING:  12/31/2021
Ben was re-elected as a supervisor in November 2015. Since 1996, Ben has chaired the Lancaster Industrial Development Authority, and was previously a member of the Lancaster Township Planning Commission. In addition, he is the Director of Development for the Lancaster Family YMCA Association, on the Lancaster City Alliance Economic Development and Planning Executive Leadership Team, a member of the Lebanon Valley College Alumni Scholarship Committee, and was the 2014 United Way Campaign Chair. Ben is the Managing Director of Community and Government Affairs at Lancaster General Health. He resides in Lancaster Township with his wife Lisa, daughter Grace, son Nate, and one large dog Moby.

Q.  Board of Supervisors:  How can I get in touch with them?
A. Township supervisors do not maintain offices or hours at the township building. If you wish to contact them, there are a few options outlined below:
1)         Email the supervisor(s) directly, or
2)         Call the township office at (717) 291-1213 and provide your name, address, phone number, and a short explanation of your concern. Township staff will relay the information to the supervisor(s), or
3)         Email your contact information and concern to the township manager William Laudien,, or to administrative assistant Patrice Allen,, and it will be forwarded to the supervisor(s), or
4)         Write a letter to the supervisor(s) with your concern (include your contact information), and mail it to or drop it off at the township office, and it will be forwarded to the supervisor(s).
