Trash Collection Reminders – March 26, 2020:

Waste Management is collecting trash/recycling as usual on your regularly scheduled collection day. Due to the current circumstances, you may now put out TWO additional bags of trash without a Yellow tag. ONLY TWO additional bags are permitted, and NO over-sized items will be collected. Waste Management will ONLY collect what is allowed.

THE CURBSIDE COLLECTION OF OVER-SIZED ITEMS IN LANCASTER TOWNSHIP HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED BY WASTE MANAGMENT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. PLEASE DO NOT PUT THESE ITEMS ON THE CURB FOR COLLECTION WITH YOUR REGULAR TRASH.

Over-sized Item Disposal

The following are considered over-sized items: furniture, carpet, a house door, box spring/mattress, BBQ grills, bicycles, toilets, tubs, microwave, or carpet. They typically require a Red tag. They ARE NOT being collected by the waste hauler at this time.

The Lancaster County Solid Waste Management Facility is still operating. Over-sized items may be disposed of there, for a fee. Payment for disposal can only be made by credit card (AMEX not accepted) or by prepaid Visa/MC cards. Go to the LCSWMA website (www.lcswma.org) for more information on days/hours of operation.
