Deed/Property Lines

How can I determine my property line? Your deed will, in most cases, give you the legal description.  Sometimes the surveyor pins, stakes, or markers can be found. If they can’t be located, then you will need to hire a surveyor to locate your property line. The township cannot recommend a surveyor.

If you do not have a copy of your deed or cannot find your deed, contact the Lancaster County Recorder of Deeds at (717) 299-8238.

The township planning/zoning office can provide a print out that shows the dimensions of your front, back, and side property lines. That information can also be found on your deed.
