Grass Clippings: The Lancaster Township woody waste facility DOES NOT ACCEPT grass clippings. Read the full notice here. Martin Mulch Products in Ephrata (located at 55 Woodcrest Drive), will accept grass clippings FOR A FEE: $1 per bag; $10 for a small pickup or trailer load 6ft; $15 for a pickup truck or trailer load 8 ft. Call them for more information – (717) 733-1602.

Household Hazardous Waste (chemicals, cleansers, automobile products, mercury-containing devices, etc.)

Large Appliance(s)/White Goods  include – washers, dryers, dishwashers, refrigerators, stoves, freezers, hot water heaters, air conditioners, furnaces, dehumidifiers, etc.

Over-sized Items include – bicycles, microwaves, mattress, box spring, couch, chair, small furniture, carpet (cut into 5 ft. pieces/bundled), a house door, toilet, tub, sink, or outdoor grills (gas grills MUST REMOVE PROPANE TANKS) – you will need to find a local facility which permits propane tank disposal. Dehumidifiers are NOT considered an over-sized item. These are collected during the twice yearly large appliance collection, or they can be taken to the Lancaster County Solid Waste Authority.
